About Me

Why UX?

I believe that the driving force behind people to become engineers is the desire to see something and make it better. I have that drive too, and that's part of why I got into studying UX. I find fulfillment in helping people, whether that be provinding an extra set of hands or designing a better experience.

When I was younger I spent a lot of time making art on and off the computer. This transitioned to an interest in graphic design, which then grew to a passion for UX in general. A perfect blend of design and helping people!

From the start, I gave it my all. The program director told me multiple times that she was impressed at the quality of my work as a freshman, and that I continue to blow her away with everything I submit.

When I chose to study UX, I chose to study UX. I am passionate about the work that I do and enjoy doing it. I'm not set into any one UX path and am exited to dip my toes into everything!

This website is hand coded!

I grew up on the old internet, first starting with my dad's wonderfully beige Gateway tower, and I just loved browsing the web and the brightly colored and sparkly personalized pages people had. This era of computing is very nostalgic for me (though I know it sounds oxymoronic for someone my age to be nostalgic).

I found NeoCities when looking at the y2k tag on social media, I was inspired to code my own personal website as that allowed far more customization for my personal corner of the internet than any popular social media would allow.

I know my code isn't perfect (I taught myself), but I try my best at making my pages responsive and accessible!
